#6 BERNINA Embroidery Sewing Machine Foot

Embroidery Foot #6 is ideal for satin stitching and other dense stitch patterns. The wide channel under the sole allows it to glide effortlessly over thicker and wider stitch formations without the fabric feed being affected.

The result is a neat and consistent stitch pattern. Embroidery Foot #6 also features a small hole in the center of the foot for couching a narrow cord or elastic.

Satin Stitching

Satin stitching gets its name from the smooth, full look of the thread that comes from sewing a zigzag stitch with a very short stitch length. 

Satin Stitch Applique

Traditional applique uses a satin stitch for sewing fabric shapes onto a background, adding a decorative touch and covering the raw edges of the shapes at the same time. 

Couching

Use the machine to apply cord to the surface of fabric for decoration.

Gathering

The technique is for gathering medium to heavy-weight fabrics, offering an easy way to stitch over a cord that will later be pulled to gather the fabric.

Corded Scallops

This decorative shaped edge uses a satin-stitched scallop pattern from the machine.

Off the Edge Scallops

For lacy crocheted look edges, use the satin-stitched scallop to decorate finished edges.
